Drop2Drink wins 'Duurzame Vrijdag' prize in Climate adaptation
Today marked the very first Gelderland 'Duurzame Vrijdag' (literally translated Sustainable Friday,) held at the beautiful Provincial House in Arnhem, an inspiring initiative by the Province of Gelderland. Under the passionate guidance of Helga van Leur, we participated in a valuable meeting that focused on innovation and sustainability.
Together with SunnyRain Solutions and Climate-Resilient Streams in Brummen – two promising initiatives in the field of water management – and expert Wietse Visser, we had the opportunity to highlight our Drop2Drink unit.
We are honored to now call ourselves the winner of Gelderland Sustainable Friday, following our success on Sustainable Tuesday!
Investing in the Future of Rainwater Usage
Thanks to the prize money and our extensive network, we are actively promoting the use of rainwater (as a source for decentralized drinking water) in the Netherlands and creating space within laws and regulations. In collaboration with GreenWishNL (Sustainable Tuesday), we have made significant progress! The following points were the highlights of the collaboration:
- Our units can be used in rental homes and holiday parks
- We now have more clarity on legal frameworks for implementation in companies, as well.
